Charles Box Commentaries

This commentary set will assist in understanding the gist of sections of Scripture. It is not exhaustive or exegetical. Instead, it seeks to give the big picture of the sections so you can perhaps more easily see how sections of Scripture fit within the books. The comments are also usually broken up into sections which are perfect for sermon preparation. Charles Box, Church of Christ pastor from Alabama provides context and commentary on selected passages from 26 books of the Bible.

Excerpt: It is a grave error in Christianity of our day to gloss over as unimportant the idea that each minister should be an example of a man of God, see 1 Tim 3 and Titus 1, which marks the requirements of a man of God. We should insist that our ministers be good examples of what is a man of God, a copy of Christ, and if they aren’t, we should remove them, or leave that church.
